DAVIS TOURS UGANDA IS INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY PROJECTS THIS IS CALLED PRO-POOR TOURISM, While supporting the needy community children along the Bunyonyi communities.

WE SUPPORT THE LAKE BUNYONYI ORPHANS CARE PROJECT UGANDA ORGANISATION WHICH FOCUSES ON PROVIDING AND SUPPORTING THE NEEDY AND ORPHANS AND HELPLESS ELDERLY.

Lake bunyonyi orphans care project uganda is a non profitable organization founded in 2008 . It operates in uganda Rubanda- kabale districts lake bunyonyi south western uganda. Its run by David and Davis Tours Team from uganda ,Maryann parent from Canada, as the managing Directors,coordinators from Uganda and East Africa and the project committee from the lake Bunyonyi community With support from all our friends and family to challenge poverty and to bring hope to the hopeless and the very needy.

Why lake Bunyonyi orphans Uganda? It is because the community /Uganda is big and wholesomely cannot develop at once and may need a lot of resources that are not available.

But starting with lake Bunyonyi village community , development connects to other villages / communities hence to the whole country.

Lake Bunyonyi orphans Uganda organization has many projects under it Education , poverty eradication, ignorance, environmental conservation vulnerable children, children with disability, Agriculture and family, health, women empowerment ,youth, elderly , Cultural tourism and sports for development .

LAKE BUNYONYI ophans Uganda was developed and started 2008 after realizing the need for community development. The community in which this organization operates from face the challenge of poverty , lack of education poor health, production of many children , children drop out of school due to lack of school fees, scholastic materials and meals. Because the majority of people in this village/community are living under absolute poverty. They live on less than ½ dollar a day while they need the following basic needs of a man like shelter, health food, education and clothes.

The children produced in this village or community, live un educated life which has resulted into early marriages at a tender age of 16 and 17 years. This has also increased family violence, evil crimes i.e stealing, alcoholism and rural urban migration.

In this village./ Community, there is only one school under the church but government aided under universal primary education. But this has done less to the expectations because the funding is little and delays to reach the school management and according to the school enrollment, each child gets less than 0.05 dollars in three months. Children lacks good learning environment scholastic materials, teachers lack teaching guides eg reference books on top of the their poor remunerations, classes, Toilets, sitting benches are in a sorry state. This has prompted parents to come in and put in a small subscription fee to cater the above, however. It is not even enough, but still few parents can effort paying it.

The school in this village / community has a total enrollment of (700) seven hundred pupils and of these some are total orphans, single orphans, vulnerable children, disabled children, rejected children. This is because of disease like Malaria, cacer, HIV/AIDS etc. This has however affected the performance of children in class because children do not have meals from school and when they go home for lunch, they still miss it. Because other children in this village / community are born as a result of un wanted pregnancies they are stigmatized, rejected in their families and they go to school without uniform, scholastic material and the subscription fee for the school. In fact these children eat or get a meal by chance not by choice. This calls one village Uganda organization to come up with the idea of supporting children though loving sponsorship by provision of scholastic material etc with the help of partners to especially orphans rejected children and vulnerable children from the neediest families of the needy

Therefore, lake Bunyonyi orphans care project Uganda organization has come in to address the issues of Agriculture and farming, Affordable projects of the poor, education, poverty and ignorance, health, Youth, Women empowerment children issues, elderly, cultural tourism sports for development and conservation through new and improved technologies for better out put eg use of fertilizers in agriculture, cross bleeding high yielding seeds, spraying crops and Agriculture equipments. This will increase food production in families market gap as well as house hold income that will lead a number of children going to school and people get jobs. As a result of enough food production income some people will afford other Agro- enterprises like poultry, piggery, Rabbit keeping, goats, cows, sheep’s and other projects as trained.

How this can be done.

Lake Bunyonyi orhans care project Uganda organization will strengthen decentralization sustainability through grants, donations, children sponsorship and community initiative transformation processes through affordable projects that can be managed by the poor /needy.

Performance based on grants and donation, over 50% performance will not need funding due to community involvement ie land and labour and grants as donations we get first will not have any score or results. This will help in mentorship, training , Agriculture and farming equipment, supplies e.g fertilizers, seeds etc. Then the results will be realized later after having every family stand on its own to proving and sustain ably move on with Agriculture and farming. Hence school children / Educative Agro-enterprise and affordable projects of the poor will be seen and observed with in the village/community.

Following the grants and donations provided within three years of operation, a great change in this village will be seven and the impact will have stretched to the near by village hence connecting villages across the world.

Therefore , the director and founder of lake bunyonyi orphans care Uganda organization is preparing land for demonstration purpose in the area and has set up a house for hosting volunteers who will help the organization.

Tourism is one of the best industries in Uganda and Uganda is the part of Africa with its beauty and Rich in bio-diversity e.g Agricultural tourism wildlife, game reserves game park , Zoo, birds hilling, lakes and rivers, rift valley, mining, forests and many other touristic destinations in Uganda.

Therefore, lake bunyonyi orphans care Uganda organization will have its volunteers who want to volunteer with us such that if they have money can have time to adventure in any of these and this should be arranged with us before arrival for easy planning purposes.

Volunteering.

Volunteering with our organization is our passion and really exciting. Our organization offers you all ways possible for you not to miss and visit Uganda. The organization’s plan of volunteers is to give them accommodation our local meals ( you can prepare them in your own way) and security. Then accommodation is in the village where our activities are based , unless we locate you to another accessed project according to your volunteering desire.

This village has no electricity and local sources of light is used during dark hours. But plans of Solar energy installation is in progress.

In case you can devise your own means as the village is 15 (fifteen) km from town , you can find your own means of accommodation and meals with the help of the organization.

The organization offers three meals a day ie. Break tea , lunch and supper or dinner as well as transport picking you at our national air port not through other countries and a certificate of appreciation for volunteering with us.

Prospectus Plans

There is need for academic excellence in this community school , in addition to lunch , and boarding programes for the school pupils that come from far.
There is need for health and sanitation in this school as well as the whole village in terms of water supply, toilets and food hygiene.

There is a need for credit/ loaning program to farmers in order to increase out put.
There is need for a secondary school in this community and the church has already offered land for it, because pupils / students walk long distances to Secondary School. And this has led to school children drop out.
There is need for a health facility and the community has land for it and can offer some labour.
There is need for training in other enterprises other than agriculture and faming eg. Life skills for development.

As asmall charity and community based organisation,we will continue to contacting all our friends and family informing them whats going on in our project so that all our friends can also inform their friends and family as well to manage fundraising mission in order to get funds and archieve our community project goals and save lives from orphanages and rescue camps.

3 Days Tour to lake Mburo National Park, Uganda

Two brothers, Kigarama and Mburo lived in a large valley. One night, Kigarama dreamt that they were in danger. When he awoke the next morning, he told his younger brother Mburo of his dream and said they should move. Mburo irnored this advice, but Kigarama wisely moved up into the hills. The valley flooded and a lake was formed, drowning Mburo. Today the lake is named after him, and the hills are called Kigarama after his brother.

The word mburo is similar to the "mboro", the Runyankole name of the cassine tree which has a powerful aphrodisac effect. One such tree, showing signs of bark and branch removal, may be seen close to the Kigambira Loop crossroads.

Situated between Masaka and Mbarara in Western Uganda, it is the only park to contain an entire lake. Beautiful and tranquil Lake Mburo National Park is situation in rolling hills and open grassy valleys. This lovely landscape also consists of four other small lakes where you'll see impala, eland, waterbuck, kilpsringer, zebra and buffalo.

The Park has Aardvark, Hyrax, Porcupine, Hippopotamus, Zebra, Pagolin, Warthog, Heyna, Leopard, , Civet, Genet, Topi, Oribi, Sitatunga and Crocodile. There is an excellent variety of water and acacia savannah bird species (357 species) like crested crane, the rare shoebill stork, marabou stork and bronze-tailed starling, bee eaters and even more exotic birds like Blue Naped

From Kampala, (the Ugandan capital city), Buhoma (the park headquarters) can be accessed through Rukungiri (478kms) or usually, Kabale (526 kms). The Kabale route which takes about 6 hours from Kampala is paved. From Kabale the journey to Buhoma (112kms) via Kanungu and Kanyatoorogo takes 3-4 hours through scenic areas. Or, pass along the eastern edge of the park to Ruhija. This option affords some very magnificent views.

At least 120 species of mammal in one of the richest ecosystems in Africa including mountain gorilla, chimpanzee and 8 other species of primate. Elephant, bushpig, giant forest hog, many species of bats and rodents, at least 346 species of birds including rare forest birds, at least 14 species of snakes, 27 species of frogs and toads, 6 chameleons, 14 lizards, skinks and geckas, at least 202 species of butterfly.
This forest is a sanctuary for almost half the world's population of mountain gorillas which is the rarest race of gorilla. Established as a safe habitat for several families of mountain gorillas it is now the location of an important scientific conservation programme. Gorilla tracking visits are limited to small groups.
There are also several endangered species of birds with limited ranges.Gorilla tracking began on 1st April, 1993. It commonly rains in this area. Come with a raincoat, walking boots, and gloves.
This is the richest forest in Uganda, in terms of the number of plant species, as the area is one of the few large expanses of forest in East Africa where lowland and montane communities merge. The valley bottoms contain a dense ground cover of herbs, vines, and shrubs with only a few trees hence its name, the 'impenetrable forest.
